John 17:14-17
Jesus says we are not of the world,
we do not embracce the seven deadly sins.
Jesus pray to God that He will protect us and not take us away.
We are in the world but NOT of the world.
"In the world" means you are in the society but your attitude and presence is different.
Matthew 5:13-16
The salt* engages and penetrates the world.
salt* = you
eg. The Da Vinci Code movie
should we ban? should we protest?
eg. The tree of knowledge of evil and good in the Garden of Eden,
God knew that Adam will be tempted and will eat up the fruit,
but God did not cut the tree off to solve the problem.

Innocence is not Virtue (power)
Virtue is NOT Innocence.
Virtue is Innocence tested.
You are tested but you are srong on the inside.
A movie should not destroy your FAITH.
Holiness not exposed to evil.
Don't be gullible.
We penetrate the world.

Daniel 5:11
All ideology comes from Barbelona.
Holiness = attitude of your heart
Daniel has holiness but wear clothes that are of the world.
Daniel 1:17

Four young men:
- Daniel
- Shadrach = Moon God
- Meshach = like the Moon God
- Abed-Nego = servant of the God Nego

Daniel understood and knew everything.
His innocence was tested a lot of times, but he stood strong.
He is a man of prayer, fasting.
eg. If you are in the Business realm, be a real business man/woman.
Daniel was a special counsel.
Be baptised in the counsel of your trade.

Daniel 5:12
"excellent spirit" is NOT anointing/gift of God
"excellent spirit" is attitude
"excellent" is "attention to detail that give rise to superior performance which leads to promotion in life."
Taking care of details = thinking of the consequences, checking everything to be right, planning everything nicely.
Be a person of excellence.
Belteshazzar = Belt will protect Daniel's life.
Belt = most powerful demon God
Romans 14:1-2
eg. Sun no longer called Sun church worker,
if you cant take it, get a life.
Daniel understood that the word/message might be sacred,
but the package is NOT.

God loves party.
He loves colours, air, music, dancing.
you can/should/must be sharp, prosperous, relevant and fashionable

pastor's job:
- upgrade the packaging
- get off old conservative mindset

Daniel is only very young,
but God used him to turn the word around.
Get off the old lifestyle, get into a fashionable, contemporary lifestyle.

FINDING YOUR SECRET PLACE

prayer = seeking God's face
2 Chronicles 7:14
In the Bible there are 243 times that mentioned seeking God.
Psalms 14:2
Isaiah 55:6
Dont harden your hearts
When you harden your heart, it is difficult for God to enter.
Ezekiel 22:7
3 times in Hebrews, it says "Dont harden your hearts"
7 times it says "Hear what the Spirit says"
Jesus woke up early in the morning to pray
after each miracle, Jesus went back to pray.
You have also got to follow Jesus and go back and pray.
Tell yourself "You got to pray"

What does it takes to seek God?
1) Devotion
Devotion means a great love
Proverbs 8:17
Humanity always goes for 3G temptations.
3G temptations = girls/guys, gold, glory
eg. "Hide and Seek game"
You will not hide deliberately in secret because you will want the person to find you,
there is joy when being seeked and when seeked.
You only share your secret with your close friends,
and you wont mention it aloud, won't you?
Similarly, God only shares His secrets with the closest people.
Psalms 25:14
2 Chronicles 16:9
You must want to be close to Him,
then He can come close to you.

2) Diligence and hardwork
get to secret places to pray to God.
"put away" in order to seek God.
"put away" means putting away all your handphones, playstation, computer games.
It would cause distraction to you.
Psalms 46:10
It's not about praying through,
It's about seeking God, having a relationship.
We all have a desire to find a best friend.
Intimate sharing happens after all the prayers, as you really seek Him in the Holies of Holies.

3)You need to die to self
Luke 14:27
Be willing to hang yourself on the Cross,
and carry His cross, look towards the future.
Romans 8:26-27

What does the Holy Spirit do?
1) The Holy Spirit births within you the desire to pray.
2) The Holy Spirit gives you disciple, so you could go to a place of discipline.
If you want results to be seen, be disciplined.
3) Delight
Delight in God's will.
